International Business Awards 2012 winners announced

Congratulations to the Ministry of Science and Innovation Special Categories Award winners at the 2012 New Zealand International Business Awards.

MSI backs the four Special Category Awards – Best Commercialisation of IP, Best Use of Design, Most Innovative Business Models and Best Use of R&D – as these core competencies underpin the success of internationally competitive New Zealand businesses.

The winners are:
• Westland Milk Products for Best Use of Research and Development in International Business.
• Everedge IP for Best Commercialisation of Intellectual Property in International Business.
• Sistema Plastics and Triodent (joint winners) for Best use of Design in International Business.
• And Energy Mad for Most Innovative Model in International Business.

The Awards, run by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, celebrate New Zealand business success in the world and recognise professional excellence and innovative practice.

MSI is working closely with NZTE to build bridges and open doors in key markets for our export companies, to take more New Zealand science and innovation offshore and to create opportunities for successful technology transfer onshore.
